The One Percent Difference: Why I Love Kamikaze Collection
Every nano ceramic coating company out there claims to be a global leader and have proven technology. They all offer the same experience of being the best permanent coating, promising that no other paint coating comes close to the level of slickness, protection, and durability. Claims made include an over emphasis about how once cured, it is measured to have hardness above 9H and can only be removed through abrasion like wet sanding. And for whatever reason, some products out there consist of 4 layers applied to the vehicle’s paint, providing “permanent" protection with a lifetime warranty. In this case, this doesn’t mean you are getting 4x the performance of the coating. It just means that it is intended by some manufacturers to be applied this way.
Despite what some coating manufacturers wish to say, a product doesn't have to be difficult to apply or remove to be good. That can't be further from the truth. Regardless of the fact, most ceramic coatings on the market do a tremendous job of protecting your paint from airborne elements, and makes maintenance much easier. Now I will also admit this. If it wasn’t for all these companies, I would’ve missed out on seeing the advancement in automotive appearance protection. Over the years, I have tried many other brands in ceramic protection. Some of which are only available to certified installers. Yet, I always find my way back to Kamikaze Collection for one main reason. Consistency.
Even more so, I respect what Kai Morita (founder of Kamikaze Collection) has achieved with ceramic coatings. Sticking with traditional development processes, he creates ceramic coatings with ease of use in mind while providing even higher levels of performance than before. For example, the most advanced and highest performing coating that I use from his collection is already amazing as a single layer. When used in combination with a base layer, the chemistry provides even higher levels of gloss and brilliance. Characteristics such as unmatched looks and hydrophobicity continue to make the Kamikaze coatings so very popular with my clients and myself.
It’s important for me to have a product that ranks an 8 all of the time as opposed to one that can rank 9 on some paints, but just a 6 or 7 on others. 99% of the people on the market looking into ceramic coatings could probably care less about such things and just want the results—which is fine. For the remaing 1% including myself, these are the fine distinctions that make Kamikaze Coatings different.
