TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service apply to all services provided by The Buffing Moose Detailing. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

APPOINTMENTS & SCHEDULING

All services are provided by appointment only. An appointment is considered confirmed once the client has approved the proposed service and appointment details. A confirmation email will then be sent.

Any changes to the agreed-upon service must be discussed and approved by both parties before proceeding.

While every effort is made to maintain scheduled appointment times, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require an adjustment. Clients will be notified as soon as reasonably possible if a delay or scheduling change occurs.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

A minimum of 48 hours' notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments or situations where the vehicle is unavailable or inaccessible upon arrival, may incur a $50 cancellation fee.

Deposits required for larger projects, including paint correction and ceramic coating services, are nonrefundable regardless of the amount of notice provided when cancelling.

If The Buffing Moose needs to reschedule an appointment due to weather, unsuitable working conditions, or other circumstances, the client will be offered the next available appointment. Any deposit paid will carry over to the rescheduled appointment.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENT

Deposits may be required for larger projects and are applied toward the final invoice. All deposits are nonrefundable.

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service. Accepted payment methods include major credit and debit cards through Square.

MOBILE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS

Services are performed at the client's residence. Clients must provide a suitable driveway, access to water, and electrical outlets nearby. These provisions are necessary to perform the requested detailing services.

The working environment must also be safe and suitable for the work being performed. The Buffing Moose reserves the right to decline or reschedule an appointment if conditions prevent the service from being completed properly or safely.

VEHICLE CONDITION & SERVICE SCOPE

Clients are required to provide photos of their vehicle when requesting an appointment. An in-person inspection may also be requested when necessary to evaluate the vehicle and determine the appropriate service.

Clients are responsible for disclosing any known mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, or other vehicle issues that could affect the detailing process.

Vehicles should be cleared of personal belongings, valuables, loose items, and interior trash before service. Clients are responsible for personal property left unsecured inside the vehicle.

The Buffing Moose reserves the right to decline vehicles or service requests that fall outside its experience, equipment, preferred working conditions, or established service scope.

If a vehicle's actual condition differs significantly from what was initially described or shown, the scope of work and any potential additional charges will be discussed with the client before proceeding. No additional work or charges will be undertaken without client approval.

The Buffing Moose does not accept vehicles requiring cleanup of bodily fluids, vomit, or other hazardous biological materials.

PAINT CORRECTION & EXPECTED RESULTS

Paint correction is intended to improve the appearance, clarity, and overall finish of a vehicle's paintwork. Results depend on the existing paint condition, available clearcoat thickness, defect severity, and what can be safely achieved.

Not every imperfection can be safely or completely removed. No specific percentage of defect removal or perfect finish is guaranteed.

The Buffing Moose reserves the right to recommend a less aggressive service when the vehicle's paint condition does not safely permit the originally requested level of correction. Any recommended change in service will be discussed and approved by the client before proceeding.

CERAMIC COATINGS

Ceramic coating services include application-specific aftercare and maintenance instructions, which clients are expected to follow.

Periodic maintenance is recommended to help preserve coating performance and appearance. Coating longevity and performance depend on factors including maintenance, washing practices, environmental exposure, and vehicle use.

No separate product or manufacturer-backed warranty is provided unless expressly stated in writing.

VEHICLE ACCESS & DOCUMENTATION

Clients must provide vehicle keys before service begins unless an alternative access arrangement has been established in advance.

The client authorizes The Buffing Moose to move the vehicle as reasonably necessary to access the work area and complete the requested service.

Existing damage or other concerns observed during the service may be documented with photographs and brought to the client's attention.

Photographs may also be taken for service documentation, condition assessment, and quality control. Any photographs intended for promotional or marketing purposes will only be used with the client's permission.

COMPLETION & CLIENT CONCERNS

Clients are encouraged to inspect their vehicle upon completion and bring any questions or concerns to the attention of The Buffing Moose before departure.

The Buffing Moose stands behind its workmanship and welcomes the opportunity to review legitimate service-related concerns. Any reported issue will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine whether it is related to the work performed and whether further attention is appropriate.

Conditions arising from subsequent vehicle use, outside products, handling, or circumstances beyond the control of The Buffing Moose may not be attributable to the detailing service.

SERVICE AREA

The Buffing Moose Detailing is based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and primarily serves Portsmouth and surrounding communities.

Requests outside the normal service area may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any additional travel charges will be discussed and approved before an appointment is confirmed.

GENERAL TERMS

The Buffing Moose reserves the right to decline service requests that are outside its established scope or cannot be completed under suitable working conditions.

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically. The current version will be maintained on The Buffing Moose Detailing website.
